The Honorary Consulate
Based in Brașov and serving the counties of Brașov, Alba, Sibiu, and Prahova, the Honorary Consulate represents the Federative Republic of Brazil in close coordination with the Embassy of Brazil in Romania.
Morten Reimers has been designated Honorary Consul of Brazil for Brașov. The Consulate is in its pre-inauguration phase; the official inauguration will be announced in due course. During this period, the office maintains an active liaison agenda and accepts enquiries.
The Honorary Consulate of Brazil is headquartered in Brașov and holds consular jurisdiction over the counties of Brașov, Alba, Sibiu, and Prahova. It serves as a bridge between two nations united by shared democratic values, a commitment to multilateralism, and a growing agenda of cultural, academic, and economic exchange.
Under the authority of the Embassy of Brazil in Bucharest and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil (Itamaraty), the Consulate provides assistance to Brasilian citizens across its jurisdiction, fosters institutional dialogue, and supports the Romanian public and business community in their engagement with Brazil.

The Honorary Consul
Morten Reimers has been designated as Honorary Consul of Brazil in Brașov by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, pending formal accreditation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania. In this role, he works to strengthen the relationship between Brazil and Romania across the consulate's jurisdiction of Alba, Brașov, Sibiu & Prahova County.
Mr. Reimers serves in the capacity of Consul Designate. The nomination, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil (Itamaraty), has been transmitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, whose formal accreditation is now awaited before the Consulate is inaugurated.
